- Separate internal vs. external. Pre-stage tools, fixtures, raw material, and inspection gauges while the current job is still running. Pre-load programs and verify them offline. Pre-heat print beds or ovens.

Tribal knowledge is great until the expert goes on vacation. Document every setup as a repeatable sequence: steps, tools, torque values, offsets, probe routines, first-article checks. Use photos and short videos for critical alignments.
Store these in your MES or a linked document system, version-controlled and tied to the part number. When a new operator runs the job, they follow the same sequence as the veteran. Batch Smart, Not Just Big
